Guidelines for Authors
1. In the Archives of Transport, there are original papers that have neither been published earlier nor have been submitted to any other editorial offices.
2. Each of the papers published in the Archives of Transport is reviewed. The papers should be submitted for review to the Archives of Transport Editorial Office (address: Warsaw University of Technology, Faculty of Transport, 75 Koszykowa St., 00-662 Warsaw POLAND) in two copies together with a CD in English language version.
3. The Archives of Transport Editorial Office reserves its right not to accept the paper for printing and adjust texts, and make the necessary shortenings without consulting the authors.
4. Receiving a positive review of the paper is tantamount to its acceptance for publication. If the reviewer has made any remarks, which indicate that the author needs to make the necessary corrections, it is required to submit a new version of the text in the form of a printout and an electronic recording.
5. The text of the paper that contains not more than 25 pages of A4 format should be prepared in MS Word editor using 12 pts. Times New Roman font with single line spacing.
- Margins of the first page: left 27.5 mm, right 27.5 mm, top 50 mm, bottom 33 mm.
- Margins of the subsequent pages: left 27.5 mm, right 27.5 mm, top 38 mm, bottom 33 mm.
- Paragraphs should start with a 5 mm indentation.
6. Authors are requested to observe the following composition-related rules:
- The Tain Title Centred – 22 pts. bold, Times New Roman,
- Author's full name centred – font size 16 pts. Times New Roman,
- deadline for submission of the paper to the editorial office centred – font size 11 pts. Times New Roman,
- the word "Abstract" centred – font in bold 11 pts. Times New Roman,
- summary – font 10 pts. Times New Roman, column width 145 mm, i.e. indentation of 10 mm from each side from the right and left,
- Information about the Author (s) posted as a footnote * referring to the family names Authors (place of employment and address) – font 10 pts. Times New Roman,
- the first degree Subtitles with alignment to the left – font in bold 20 pts. Times New Roman,
- the second degree Subtitles with alignment to the left – font in bold 16 pts. Times New Roman,
- the word „References" with alignment to the left – font in bold 14 pts. Times New Roman,
- References –10 pts. Times New Roman font,
- Title of the paper, full name of the Author and the paper summary in Polish – font 10 pts. Times New Roman, however, the Paper Title – font in bold.
7. Black & white figures made using computer technique, and black and white photographs should be placed directly in the text of the paper. The preferred font of the figures and photographs description – 11 points. Times New Roman. Captions under the figures should be centred.
8. All tables included in the text should have consecutively occurring titles and numbers. Titles of tables should be submitted in font in bold 11 pts. Times New Roman, while the text of the tables – font 10 pts. Times New Roman.
9. Formulas included in the text should be submitted in 12 pts. Times New Roman, centred and marked with consecutive numbers.
10. References should be listed in alphabetical order according to the following formula, e.g.:
1. Celbon D.: Examination of the Road Damage Caused by Three Articulated Vehicles. Proc. l0th IAVSD Symposium on the Dynamics of Vehicles on Road and Tracks, Prague, August 1987.
2. Wydro K.: Telematyka – znaczenia i definicje terminu. Telekomunikacja i Techniki Informacyjne. Wyd. Instytut Łączności, Warszawa, 2005. (10 pts. Times New Roman font).
11. Extra information, included in a separate file, should include data of the paper’s Author (Authors):
- Full name, scientific title (degree), position, place and address of employment, and e-mail address,
- A declaration stating that the author of the work transfers free of charge his copyrights onto the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and agrees to use the work in the operational fields listed in Article 50 items 1-5 of 1994 Act on Copyrights and Related Rights (Journal of Laws 24/94 item 83).
